Are pictures worth

thousand words?
Perhaps they are, but pictures leave a lot to the imagination, and many unanswered questions. Unlike pictures, a thousand words can fill in all the blanks, and can make sure someone knows exactly what you mean.
Words come from the heart, another name for soul, and nobody has a picture of that place in you. Even if a picture did exist, for anyone to know what it had to say on your behalf would be impossible. That's because only you can reveal your soul to someone else, and only you know how to describe the feelings that live there.
The best way to share your soul, or your heart, is by writing about it. You will choose the words to use carefully, and you will put them together in a way that goes beyond the meaning of the words alone. When you write it down, you share your feelings… your emotions.
What you have to say is so very important, so why would you chop it up into little pieces and give it to someone bit by bit? Nobody would read an excellent novel that way, because the flow of the words is a big part of how the author sets the story in your mind, so that you begin to feel as if you are really there.
You don't want someone to read your story all chopped up that way. If you try to say what you feel in a series of text messages, the result will be dry, cold, and sterile. All of your feelings… your emotions, would get blown away, like so much dust in the wind..
